There are so many products and fun things to buy for baby, but when it comes to breastfeeding, less is definitely more! Save your money that you would have spent of bottles, formula, haakaa’s and pacifiers. An IBCLC seen before you deliver your baby will guide you to know what is essential and what isn’t before your baby shower. Ask for a gift card for a Lactation Consult vs. things!! :)
My opinion on nipple pain and treatment.
Nipple pain is the number one reason for breastfeeding cessation. Getting help for nipple pain as soon as you can will optimize how much milk your baby takes in, and help you reach your breastfeeding goals. If you are experiencing nipple pain, contact an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant as soon as possible.

Sometimes a product that everyone says you have to have, is not a good option for you in your breastfeeding journey. Read about the the reasons I am not a fan of the silicone breast pump if not used for what it was intended to be used for, occasional removal of milk when you don’t have access to baby or your hospital grade pump with fitted flanges.
